Congratulations on being accepted into the Bachelor of Science degree program in the Schulich School of Engineering. Starting your engineering journey at Schulich means joining a growing community that supports your academic and personal success. Explore hands-on learning in our Schulich Makerspaces, practice healthy living in our Schulich Wellness space and gain work experience with paid placement opportunities.

The Schulich School of Engineering's nine Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree programs are fully accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board. Accreditation means that graduates will have the academic requirements needed to be accepted as engineers-in-training in all Canadian provinces and internationally (for example, the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Hong Kong, and more).

The Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering requires the completion of 44 to 46 half-course equivalents (132 to 138 credits) and normally four years of full-time study. Choosing an internship will add a year to your degree plan.

The Schulich School of Engineering also offers a ninth BSc degree program: Energy Engineering. This two-year program builds on the coursework from approved Diploma of Technology programs at polytechnics such as SAIT (Southern Alberta Institute of Technology). Taking into account prior learning from this credential, the program details are significantly different from those of the other nine programs. In addition, students with an approved diploma in geomatics engineering technology can also earn their BSc in Geomatics Engineering in just three years through our polytechnic transfer pathway.

At the Schulich School of Engineering, we are fostering a learning environment driven by hands-on, experiential learning. All first-year students will experience learning through Schulich Studio, a space where you learn by doing, encompassing design labs, collaborative assessments, team-based learning, project-based learning, and the integration of lectures, labs and tutorials.

The information provided in this registration guide is intended to advise students of their enrolment in one of the nine four-year Bachelor of Science degree programs. Our team will register you into both fall and winter semesters.
